  1. *MENU HELP
  2.  
  3.      Select options to view the data on the color screen of your
  4.      computer or view a tutorial (recommended for all first-time users).
  5.      
  6.      VIEW DATA - allows you to see much of the data (including several
  7.      layers of data) from the CD-ROM on your screen in a variety of
  8.      formats.  These include user-defined color displays of raster
  9.      images (i.e., a color picture), point data locations (with colors
  10.      and symbols designed to display value ranges), and boundary
  11.      overlays for reference purposes.  Additional features let you
  12.      select area of interest and data ranges for appropriate data sets
  13.      on the compact disc.  Data may also be presented as contours,
  14.      profiles or values at a specific point.  
  15.      
  16.      RUN UTILITIES - additional utility programs that may be executed from
  17.      this point in the system and also can be run as stand alone programs
  18.      at the DOS prompt.   
  19.         MAKELBL - create a label (.LBL) file for a user raster image
  20.         SHOW    - display .BMP image files in an EGA slide show
  21.  
  22.      RUN TUTORIAL - provides a slide-show style presentation of how to
  23.      use the software.  Examples of displays are presented, followed by
  24.      the sessions which were used to create some of these images.

  26.      NOTES ON SYSTEM PROTOCOLS:
  27.      
  28.      ESC - go to a previously requested (higher level) menu.  During
  29.      display of data, it will interrupt the data layer being plotted.
  30.      
  31.      F1 - obtain on-line help.
  32.      
  33.      F2 - re-display choice options (only used when changing previously
  34.      selected options).
  35.      
  36.      F10 - complete any process.  If during a selection you only wish
  37.      to change one item, this feature saves you the time of having to
  38.      confirm individually each screen item.
  39.      
  40.      
  41.        The document files listed below can be viewed by using the TYPE
  42.     command or the MORE command at the dos prompt.  These files can
  43.     also be viewed by your favorite text editor in ASCII mode.
